ST MARY’S BY THE SEA - GENERAL INFO

St Mary’s by the Sea is an historic 1880 fully restored non-denominational chapel situated in the heart of Port Douglas. It has a huge glass altar window offering breathtaking views of the Coral Sea, stained glass windows, traditional wooden pews and a church bell.

The chapel is available 7 days a week, having a destination wedding gives you the flexibility to hold your wedding on any day of the week with the celebrations stretching over several days.

Ceremony commencement times for Fri/Sat dates from May-October: 10am, 12 noon, 2pm or 4pm

All bookings are for 1.5 hours,  for example if you are getting married at 2:00pm you will have access from 1.30pm for your guests’ arrival until 3:00pm.

Chapel Capacity - 100 guests

The chapel is air-conditioned, and wheelchair access is available though advance notice is required.
